Triller Freakshow Special: Belfort vs Holyfield Best Bets!
I'm so excited for this shit show it's not even funny. NOW UPDATED WITH PROP LINES!
Welcome back degenerates! After a clean sweep last week our bankroll is looking flush, so of course this week we'll be flushing some of that hard won cash down the drain on the biggest boxing freakshow yet — 58 going on 59 years for the ex-Cruiserweight and HW champ (not to mention the Olympic bronze medalist) the Real Deal Evander Holyfield, making his comeback against 44 yr MMA legend old Vitor Belfort.
Let's get to it!
Anderson Silva -1400 vs Tito Ortiz +700
I don't care if you dont think he deserved the nod, Silva just beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Tito doesn't stand a chance.
I like Anderson in the first 4 rounds, though I'll be interested in 5 as well. I just don't see Tito being able to stay outside and avoid getting touched up while landing his power punches. Either he avoids contact all fight to lose a defensive decision or decides to go for it and leaves himself open for long combos from the Spider.
Anderson 80% KO (Rd 3 +650, rd 4 +700, rd 5 +900, rd 6 +1200) 20% Dec +185
Anderson could definitely get this done in the first two but I'm leaning towards Tito toughing it out early
Joe Fournier +600 vs David Haye -1200
Fournier is a legit up and comer pro who took years off then showcased his skills against a much smaller professional musician on the last Triller card.
David Haye is top of the food chain and not that far out of top form, with his only career losses to champions.
Fournier is a bit in over his head here…
Haye by KO 95% (rd 2 +400 rd 3 +400, rd 4 +650, rd 5 +1000) dec 5% +310
The rd 6-8 lines are juicy but I just can't imagine Haye lets it go that far… First round +650 is a better cover
Vitor Belfort -230 vs Evander Holyfield +175
Belfort is almost 4 years removed from his UFC retirement fight, a head kick KO loss, though is back seemingly in TRT Vitor form at his current age.
Evander on the other hand, while he has always stayed in great shape, is 10 years out from his last pro bout, a TKO win, and he did win the WBF HW belt that year as well, knocking out a 41 yr old Francois Botha.
While Evander is the larger man and clearly more skilled boxer, father time is undefeated. If he somehow shows up with the same pep in his step he had 10 yrs ago he'll easily win a decision and even find a KO against the younger fitter fighter. But I just don't know how that's possible after a decade of inactivity…
Final Thoughts: Prior to the rules announcement I was leaning more heavily towards a TKO for Vitor, but now I'm eyeing the decision line as we're seeing eight 2 minute rounds rather than the more customary 3 mins per round. As such, if Holyfield can stay on his bike and utilize his length and his jab, something he was known for in his career, then an Evander decision becomes a serious possibility, though the (no offense intended whatsoever to this hall of fame combat athlete) near geriatric age bracket of the former titleholder is keeping me firmly in the Belfort camp. He uses power and aggression to get inside often enough to either get a decision, or closes the show on the aging legend within 6.
60% Vitor by KO -120 (rd 1 +900, rd 2 +850, rd 3 +800, rd 4 +1000, rd 5 +1200, rd 6 +1600) , 40% Vitor by Dec +375
I'd shade lighter rds 2-3 and push heavier on 1 and 4-6. Make those your upside lines and 2-3 your covers.

Vitor closes it out in the first, ref stoppage, saw he hurt Evander with the first land and went after him like a young phenom. Evander just can't take that damage at this age, glad they stopped it before he could take any major shots
Aaaand Anderson gets it done in the first! First clean shot he landed puts Tito out, Silva was rolling with punches and avoiding damage in the corner for a good amount of time until he turned the corner on Tito, pivoted 90 degrees and hit Tito flush with a left hook that crumpled him instantly.
